The Typhonian deity Seth was once worshipped in Ancient Egypt. Followers of later schools obliterated Seth's monuments, demonised and neglected his cult. A possible starting point in the quest for the 'hidden god' is an examination of the life of Egyptian King Seti I ('He of Seth') also known as Sethos. The Thelemic Symposium was cooked up by a couple of hung-over Thelemites back in 1986. It is hosted by the Oxford Golden Dawn Occult Society, which is a non-sectarian magical sodality that shelters within its ranks magicians of many diverse kinds.
